Four devotees, including three women died and several more were injured in a stampede here on Wednesday night as hundreds of them jostled for tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple on Tirumala Hills, a police official said.
Hundreds of devotees turned up from across the country for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam commencing from January 10.
"Three women and a man died in the stampede," the official confirmed to PTI.
Meanwhile, videos of police administering CPR on a couple of woman devotees and injured persons being shifted in ambulances went viral.

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday said it has issued guidelines on the regulatory framework for research analysts and investment advisers to bolster investor protection and ensure transparency.
These guidelines came after the regulator notified the research analyst (RA) rules and investment adviser (IA) norms in December last year.
The new norms encompass qualification standards, fee structures, deposit requirements, and client segregation protocols.
The regulator introduced fresh compliance mandates, particularly for entities utilising artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their services.
Under the revised framework, Sebi said research analysts are required to maintain a deposit based on their client base, ranging from Rs 1 lakh for up to 150 clients to Rs 10 lakh for over 1,000 clients.
These deposits aim to provide additional security for investors.
Also, investment advisers are mandated to follow a graded deposit system tied to client numbers.

More than 50 companies of paramilitary forces and over 5,000 police personnel will be deployed across Delhi ahead of Republic Day celebrations and the upcoming Assembly polls, an official said on Thursday.
Delhi Police on Wednesday held an inter-state coordination meeting with various law enforcement agencies to discuss security arrangements in the national capital.
The meeting was chaired by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and was attended by senior police officers from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, and Jammu and Kashmir.
"During the meeting, the senior police officers of the Delhi Police have demanded more than 50 paramilitary companies and cyber specialised officers to keep a strict vigil on any situation," a source in the police said.
During the coordination meeting, the officers exchanged inputs and intelligence related to various matters and it was resolved to strengthen the anti-terror measures, .
